# Bomb It

> Bomb It is a free, real-time multiplayer browser party game for 2 players with unlimited spectators. Players secretly place bombs on private or shared grids, taking turns tapping cells to hunt opponent bombs while protecting their 3 hearts. No account, no app install, and no persistent database required.

## Core Gameplay & Rules

- **Players:** 2 active players per room + unlimited live spectators with emoji reactions.
- **Objective:** Be the last player standing with hearts remaining, or have the most hearts when the board is fully cleared.
- **Hearts:** Each player starts with 3 hearts. Tapping an opponent's bomb detonates it, costs 1 heart, and ends your turn.
- **Defuse Mechanic:** Your own bombs are safe to tap. Tapping one safely defuses it and marks it publicly—a tactical maneuver to buy a guaranteed safe turn and deceive your opponent.
- **Turn Timer:** 15 seconds per turn to keep the game fast and dynamic.
- **Formats:**
  - *Duel Mode (Default):* Two private 3x3 boards, 3 bombs each.
  - *Quick Mode:* One shared 4x4 board, 4 bombs each.
  - *Classic Mode:* One shared 5x5 board, 5 bombs each.
- **Solo Mode (Daily Bomb):** A daily 6x6 solo puzzle with 8 hidden bombs, identical for all global players, reset daily at midnight UTC.
- **Privacy & Tech:** Ephemeral memory-only WebSockets architecture. No accounts, no email spam, zero data retention upon room closure.
