Daily Bomb: One Puzzle a Day, Same for Everyone
A solo Bomb It board that resets at midnight — everyone on Earth gets the exact same bombs.
Daily Bomb strips the multiplayer game down to its purest decision: how far do you push your luck? There's no opponent, no room code, no waiting for friends — just a 6×6 grid, 8 hidden bombs, and a running score that only goes up until it doesn't.
How it works
Every day gets one board: 36 cells, 8 bombs, generated from that day's date so the layout is identical for every player worldwide — nobody gets an easier board than anyone else. Tap a cell. If it's safe, your score goes up by one and you can keep going. If it's a bomb, the run ends and your score is whatever you'd banked. The only other way to end a run is to cash out on purpose, locking in your current score before you tap again.
You get exactly one attempt per board. There's no retry, no "undo," and no buying back in — which is the entire point. It's the same design pressure as pushing your luck in the shared game, just distilled into a single-player minute.
The math you're actually playing against
8 of 36 cells are mined — just over 1 in 5 at the very start. But that ratio gets worse every safe cell you reveal, because the bomb count never drops: clear 20 safe cells and you're picking from 16 remaining cells that still hide all 8 bombs, roughly a coin flip on your next tap. There's no way to deduce which cells are safe — no numbers, no adjacency hints, just nerve. The only genuinely correct strategic input is knowing when the odds have flipped against you, and stopping before then.
Streaks and sharing
Cash out successfully (don't bust) and your streak continues; bust, and it resets to zero. Whether you play safe for a guaranteed short streak or push for a personal-best score is entirely up to you — the game doesn't reward one strategy over the other beyond what you're willing to risk.
After each run, whether you cashed out or blew up, you can share a Wordle-style result: a grid of ⬛ and 🟩 squares (plus a 💥 if you busted) with your score and streak, no board spoilers included. It's built to drop straight into a group chat so you can dare the people who'd rather just watch to try to beat you.
Daily Bomb vs. the multiplayer game
If Daily Bomb is your first taste of Bomb It, the full game adds the part this mode strips out on purpose: another person. In a real room, you and one opponent each hide your own bombs and take turns hunting each other's — so you're reading a live opponent and managing risk against them, not a fixed layout. If you liked the push-your-luck tension, the strategy guide covers how that same instinct plays out once bluffing enters the picture.
New board at midnight, every day, forever. However today's run goes, there's always another shot tomorrow.
