Install Bomb It as an App
A home-screen icon and a full-screen window, no app store visit required.
Bomb It runs entirely in the browser, but both iPhone and Android let you "install" any website like this straight from the browser itself — you get a real home-screen icon and a window with no address bar, just like a downloaded app, without ever touching an app store.
On Android (Chrome)
- Open bomb-it.com in Chrome.
- Tap the ⋮ menu in the top right.
- Tap Install app (or Add to Home screen, depending on your Chrome version).
- Confirm — the icon appears on your home screen immediately.
Chrome will also sometimes offer to install it for you directly (a small icon in the address bar, or a one-time popup) once it decides you've visited enough — either path lands in the same place.
On iPhone (Safari)
- Open bomb-it.com in Safari — this has to be Safari specifically; Chrome and other iPhone browsers can't do this step.
- Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add in the top right.
Unlike Android, iPhone never prompts you to do this automatically — Safari has no pop-up for it at all. If you want it on your home screen, the Share-menu route above is the only way.
What actually changes once it's installed
- No browser chrome. It opens full-screen, without an address bar or tabs — closer to how a downloaded game looks.
- One tap to launch. No typing the URL or digging through browser tabs — it's an icon like any other app.
- Same live site underneath. Installing doesn't fork or freeze anything — it's still the same bomb-it.com, so any update to the game is there the next time you open it. There's nothing to separately update.
What it isn't
This isn't a separate native app and there's nothing in the App Store or Play Store to search for — that's on purpose. Installing this way needs no download size, no permissions screen, and no account; it's the same free, no-signup game, just with a shortcut that skips typing a URL.
Either platform takes under 30 seconds, and nothing about how you play changes — it's still the same room codes, same free rounds, same no-signup game underneath.
