Bomb It is a free multiplayer party game you play right in your browser, 1v1 with a friend.
You each secretly hide bombs on a board, then take turns tapping cells. Your own bombs are always
safe to tap — but hit your opponent's and you lose a heart. Lose all three hearts and you're out.
Rounds take about a minute, so it's built for a quick laugh on a team call, a group chat, or a
couch full of friends.
How to play
Start a room and share the 6-letter code, link, or QR with a friend.
You both secretly place your bombs on the board.
Take turns tapping cells — dodge the bombs, protect your 3 hearts.
Be the one still standing, or finish with the most hearts, to win.
Your own bombs are always safe to tap, which is the whole strategic twist: defusing one buys you a
guaranteed safe turn and quietly tells your opponent the wrong thing about where the rest are hidden.
Turns are capped at 15 seconds, so nobody can stall the game.
Three formats
Duel (the default) — two private 3×3 boards, 3 bombs each. You hide bombs on your opponent's grid and hunt theirs.
Quick — one shared 4×4 board, 4 bombs each. Half the board is mined, so rounds end fast.
Classic — one shared 5×5 board, 5 bombs each. More room to manoeuvre.
Playing alone? Play Daily Bomb — a solo puzzle: one 6×6 board with 8 hidden bombs, the same for everyone in the world, one attempt a day.
Common questions
Do I need an account or a download?
No. There's nothing to install and no sign-up — open the link, pick a name, and you're playing.
How many people can play?
2 players per room, plus unlimited spectators who watch the board live and react with emoji.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes — it runs in any modern browser, and tapping cells is nicest on a touchscreen.
What if my connection drops?
Rejoin with the same room code or link and you'll be put back into the round in progress.
Is it free?
